Homemade Granola & some baby Tomatoes

Good morning and happy Friday to you!

I love breakfast, in fact, it is probably my favourite meal of the day. However, most mornings at my place, I am way too busy to prepare delicious breakfasts and instead settle for toast or Weet-bix. Well not today, because I am on holidays!

Angela from Oh She Glows has a delicious looking recipe for Lightened Up Summer Granola that i thought I would give a try. It was very easy to make, took me about 20 minutes to prepare and about 25 minutes to cook. I definitely recommend you give this a go if you are a granola fan (who isn't?) as it has no butter or oil, minimal sugar yet is VERY tasty.

Fresh out of the oven.

Delicious with milk, fresh blueberries and organic strawberries.

We are currently trying to grow a small vegetable/herb garden in our backyard. We have had many a setback so far, including The Digging-est Dog Mosely who will leave no soil unturned, some little critters intent on eating all my beetroot leaves (suspect snails) even though Stephanie Alexander assures me beetroot has no pests and also the fact that we plotted our veggie garden on the wrong side of our backyard and it barely receives the 6 hours of sunlight needed to grow veggies (according to Gardening Australia).

So you can imagine how excited I was when I discovered the first little tomato on one of our 5 tomato bushes. In case you are interested, they are Tommy Toe tomatoes from the Diggers Club.

Come on little fella!

I'll leave you with a picture of the naughty Mosely...

Happy Friday, hope you have a great weekend!
